PAINTING
Techniques: Oil on canvas, Watercolor, Mixed media – Combining traditional gilding on mixtion with painting, which I like to use especially in works inspired by flowers, plants or insects. Creating acrylic textures and covering them with paint, which I like to use for abstract, fairy-tale, naive ideas.
Inspirations:
In my inspirations the most important is nature. Light, color, the world of plants and animals. I love diversity in shapes and colors. Landscapes also appeal to me strongly, including architecture, mountains, forests, and the wonderful colors that the light of the sun produces.
JEWELRY
Techniques:
Copper jewelry. I love this metal. For me, the king of metals, which carries incredible, good energy, speaks to me very powerfully. I love combining copper with natural materials: stones, wood, leather or glass.
Inspirations:
The inspiration for creating my projects is the jewelry of ancient cultures. Simple, primitive shapes, raw in their form, stimulate my imagination. They allow me to reach my primary core.
DIGITAL ART
Techniques: To create my digital art works I use my two favorite programs Photoshop and CorelDRAW. I work in two-dimensional graphics in JPG format.
Inspirations: In digital reality I like to work on drawings and transforming my works made in traditional techniques into completely new digital creations. Digital art gives me amazing possibilities to create collages and transform real, reality into something unreal.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Techniques: Analog and digital photography.
When it comes to analog photography I work on 35mm film. My first camera was an analog camera Zenit-E (since I grew up in Poland during communism, it was brilliant and easily available), then a few others, until recently I managed to buy a great Olympus OM-1, which I love. For digital photography I use my 20-year-old Pentax K-m and of course my mobile phones, it’s better not to miss any opportunity…
Inspirations: In my photography I am fascinated by Bresson’s concept of the decisive moment. For me, this is the quintessence of photography, where time, composition, light create perfection in one unique moment, something worth seeking.
